The ChallengeDuring a time of rapid technological and digital transformation, Deloitte was faced with a failing legacy IT system that was creating high profile outages at key times of the year. The result was an immediate and business critical need to build a new technology model by embracing cloud computing and implementing a new architectural capability that would support the business into the future. However, Deloitte did not have access to a source of talent with the skills necessary to carry out this challenge. Indeed, the need for a full end-to-end solution meant that Deloitte was looking to engage numerous strategy and architecture professionals – yet their internal talent acquisition function did not possess the expertise necessary to fully grasp the exact requirements, nor to identify candidates with these niche skill sets. |
The SolutionWith such a business-critical transformation on the cards, Deloitte turned to specialists Third Republic who, working with the CIO and COO of the organisation, were able to identify and agree the hiring profiles needed. From here, an interim recruitment team were formed to act as an extension of Deloitte’s internal talent acquisition function by providing access to niche talent and educating the internal teams on the technical and interpersonal requirements of potential candidates. Working in tandem with the business, Third Republic devised a head-hunting programme that utilised modern resourcing methods in order to engage prospects that other agencies were not able to reach.
